What we do

As an “action tank”, the Just Transition Greens are policy-based but focused on actions and outcomes. The kinds of activities that we engage include:

  • Preparing submissions to public consultations on social justice, democracy and peace and other public comment.
  • Organising monthly public meetings on topical matters between our members, civil society and public representatives.
  • Proposing policy motions to the Green Party/Comhaontas Glas drawn from our members and the discussions we facilitate.
  • Faciliating collaboration between green-left and progressive elected representatives and civil society, across the boundaries of political parties.

Regular quarterly updates of our activities can be read online.

Topical meetings

An easy way to get involved in our work is to attend one of our monthly public meetings. Our members are informed of these meetings directly by email. They are also advertised on our shared calendar.

Usually these meetings are recorded and published afterwards on our YouTube channel. However, sometimes these meetings may not be recorded (or the recording not circulated widely) for specific reasons.
